IMERSA Fulldome Summit Oct 26-28


JHWFF  Symposium

Presented by the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival and the Gates Planetarium at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. This 3-Day symposium for museum and media professionals will feature fulldome (digital dome) workshops, panels, screenings, exhibits and pitching opportunities. Other session strands will focus on the newest in 3D, content to go, and creative fundraising options.

7th European Meeting of Small and Portable Planetaria

Kallioplanetaario, Finland

Hosted by the Kallioplanitaario in Jyväskylä, Finland, the 7th European Meeting of Small and Portable Planetaria will be held August 17-20, 2010 in English. Built into the rock in central Finland, the planetarium uses E & S's  DigiStar 3 SP2 and has 50 comfortable seats under a 10 meter, negative-pressure inflated dome. In addition to star shows, fulldome movies and music shows, Alexander Zaragoza of Antares FullDome Productions will present "Astronomy - 3000 Years of Stargazing."  Click for registration and information.

 

 

 

MUG Conference

 

The 2010 MediaGlobe Users Group (MUG) Conference, Aug 18-22, will be hosted by the Natural Science Center of Greensboro, which recently acquired a Super MediaGlobe II for their OmniSphere. Talks, meetings and presentations will include fisheye photography for the dome (main topic), javascript and one on one workshops covering general photo enhancement. Antares FullDome Productions and Mediúscula present the fulldome cartoon film "MOLES" set for release Jan 2011 for digital dome exhibition. "MOLES" is targeted to entertain children and awaken their interest in astronomy and nature.
