Eddie Sotto

Edward Sotto. President - SottoStudios/LAEddie is an award winning designer, creative professional and entrepreneur with a proven track record in entertainment design. Sotto's strength lies both in vision, solutions, and team based execution, skills he honed as Senior Vice President of Concept Design at Disney's Imagineering division, where he ran his own concept development studio. His portfolio at Disney alone contains $500m in built projects ranging from "E-Ticket" Attractions and retail, restaurants, web and mobile technology, including digital architecture like ABC Times Square Studios. Quitting Disney in 2000, Sotto exported his skills to reimagine and reinvent brands and places as experiences. Working cross-platform, Sotto expanded to innovate in the fields of marketing, AR/VR, and network television.Born in Hollywood, Sotto's cinematic style is largely self taught by having motion picture Production Designers and Disney's original artists as his mentors.

Sotto is currently featured in the first 3 episodes of the epic miniseries, “The Imagineering Story” on DisneyPlus.

In addition to the above, Sotto has contributed to or is quoted in these popular books. “One Little Spark”, “Travels with Figment” -Marty Sklar, “The Disney Railroads”, “The Art of the Disney Poster,” “Designing Disney’s Theme Parks”, “Disneyland Paris, From Dream to Reality”, “Walt’s People 14”, “The Art of Disneyland”, ”Disney Imagineering”, “Knott’s Preserved”, and many more. His designs and experience have been featured in The New Yorker, Town and Country, Vogue, Architectural Digest,  Elle Decor Italia, Los Angeles Magazine, The New York and London Times, Esquire, Maxim, Details, Paris Match, Stern, Wired, Metropolis, and The Robb Report to name a few.The CompanySottoStudios/LA, established in 2004, is an experiential design and solutions studio that is frequently tapped to invent or revitalize projects and products as multi sensory  “experiences". Sotto felt there was a need to form a firm that thought experientially where “everything matters”.

Sotto saw the need to break down the formal barriers between architecture, marketing, and design by combining them in a single shared process that delivers the "wow" seamlessly. This deconstructed process of working more holistically, along with using emotion as the core of a sensory driven, “system of experience”. Our “renaissance” portfolio is quite wide, as we have done everything from resorts and attractions to real spacecraft interiors, or innovating a new handheld technology. Aston-Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, Embraer, Disney, Knott’s, Blue Origin, Paramount Pictures, NBC/Universal, Irvine Co, Kerzner, and Wynn Resorts are a few of the brands we’ve solved for. Sottostudios is comprised of a winning team of professionals that are "cast" to each unique assignment. We are a high focus, boutiquefirm that only takes on select assignments each year.
